Pasha Announces New Corporate Entity

CORTE MADERA, CA – George W. Pasha III, Chairman and CEO of The Pasha group today announced that effective August 17, the company has successfully concluded negotiations with Companhia Vale do Rio Doce ("CVRD") for the purchase of the CVRD's partnership shares in the Los Angeles joint venture known as Rio Doce Pasha terminal, L.P. ("RDP").

Now a wholly owned subsidiary of The Pasha Group, the new company is called Pasha Stevedoring & Terminals L.P. Pasha has operated the largest omni terminal in the Port of Los Angeles since 1987. As such, it provides terminal and stevedoring services to a variety of breakbulk, rail and container customers. Pasha's expansive terminal space allows flexibility to cater to all diversified cargo types. In addition, ancillary services are provided, such as reefer and chassis M&R, sensitive cargo warehousing, trucking and logistics management.
